HOW TEQUILA IS MADE
Some facts:
- To obtain one litre of Tequila you need seven kilos of agave.
- Before you can harvest the plant it needs seven years to grow.
- The agave needs to be roasted 72 hours in the oven.
- Afterwards it is shredded.
- The sweet juice of the agave plant is fermented for several hours at a temperature of ~34°C
- Then the almost ready Tequila is distilled two times
- Before adding water, the Tequila contains 80% alcohol
- Depending on what kind of Tequila you want, the Tequila passes not one day up to several years in a oak barrel what gives it the fine and delicious taste
